how do shrimp affect the bio-load of a tank? like do they add very little? or what?

Most shrimp don't affect a tank's bio-load very much, especially since they tend to help clean a tank. That helps to offset the load the shrimp produce, so the total bioload from the shrimp is almost negligible. Ghost shrimp weigh less on the bioload than tetras do, which says quite a lot.

good to hear. thats kind of what I figured... i'm guessing the cleaning they do probably basically makes up for any waste they contribute

this means, more shrimp
