i have some ( i think) snail eggs on my fake plant & i need to clean it , but i can't take it out of the water to clean it cos of the snail eggs. so my question is how long do they take to hatch , as these ones have been here about a week , mayby 5 days

thanks.

PS i do want these to hatch.

if you got snail eggs there chances are you have them other places and if not the snail you have will lay them agian. question how many snails do u have right know and wat kind

i don't no what type , but there is one in this tank. it is a cold water species , but as i have others in another tank i put in a warm water tank.

i'm not sure if this pic will work but it is the right SHAPE of the shell but not the xtra lines in it , it is also brown

well its up to u leave the plant unti they hatch or clean the plant and hope it will lay eggs agin ( and it most lickly will)

They are either pond snails or brown ramshorn snails. The shape in your picture is that of the malaysian trumpet snail, but they are livebearing snails.

they must be pond snails cos i've seen the ramshorn and its definatly not them.

how long would they take to hatch??????

With the proper tempurature and water parameters the eggs should hatch in the next couple days.

If you hsve live plants they will eat them, when they reach large numbers(which shouldn't take too long).
