would apple snails be ok on sand or not . allready got sand instead of gravel just like to no if snails will be ok on it.

Snails are fine on sand. They might might not like it at first and you'll find a few slime trails on the glass where they got rid of the sand. Eventually they move around on it like normal and just slime it off on the glass or while floating when they need to.

thats good then i really want a snail . i just keep staring atthe pest ones that come with my plants so i decided i might aswell get a big one

Yep, Sham's right on.

They act funny at first. Kinda like they're tip-toeing around, unsure of themselves. But eventually they get used to it. I find my babies really like to burrow into the sand and sleep. Something they never did in gravel. And it's better for them because they can't crack or chip their shells falling on sand.

I have 2 Apple Snails in a sandy subtrate tank with some Electric Yellows & they look quite fine. I don't see any problems with your Snails.
