	stocking order - does it matter
newmand Fingerling Posts: 45 Votes: 0 Registered: 13-Mar-2005	Does Stocking Order Matter? based on the learned advice of the many appreciated comments I have decided to slowly stock my 55g freshwater tank with 4 small angels (at least they will be small to begin with) 3 pearl gouramis a school of cardinal tetras (8 to 10) rather than lemon tetras a school of mellini cories - probably 6 to 8 QUESTION: Does it matter the order of stocking - should I first add the angels let them get settled and then add the cardinals or vice versa and let the cardinals grow out a bit before adding the angels or does it just not matter and nature will take its course depending upon the temperament of the angels

Supposedly the angels won't bother the cardinals, but if they are rather small then they could possibly become lunch, however you stated that the angels you are adding will be relatively small also - so they still may be okay to add together depending on the comparables sizes.
