	4 pearls

First though, try and observe the pearls at your lfs. Pick out the most peaceful ones, and try to get more females than males (if they are old enough to sex). Male gouramis tend to be more aggressive than females, though that depends on the individual personality of the fish. And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

And males are more aggressive, not only with gouramis but with other labyrinths as well. Go for the females if you can, I believe the males have the orange coloration under their throats. -Formerly known as the Ferretfish
