5 pairs at 1 time good idea? | |
fishyhelper288 Fish Guru Posts: 2161 Kudos: 1951 Votes: 137 Registered: 29-Feb-2004 | i want to finish breeding before fall hits, but i have 5 more pairs due, can i do them all at once? i already have them set up in the breeding tanks, only 2 r together though, i am breeding 3 pairs in a seperated 10 gallon pair in a 5 gallon and another gental pair in one of those double betta containers that they sell at walamrt for 5 bucks i have the divider in place, and im waiting for the female to bar up but should i run all 5 at once? |

fishyhelper288 Fish Guru Posts: 2161 Kudos: 1951 Votes: 137 Registered: 29-Feb-2004 | well, one pair spawned, although i watched he male eat every egg (the female was dropping around 30 eggs at one time, and dropped several times..to say hte least he was horrable fat, she is thin and i have no fry, but i left her with him to try again, i may remove them both and recondition them) 1 pair has been seperated, and the female is near death (although is doing better now) i put 2 females back in their jars, and set the divider back up for another pair...this may take a while lol but my mean and aggressive pretty boy is much more mellow these days and realy hasnt nipped his girl at all she knows what to do...he is still trying to figure it out |
