A Mirror and a Cure for Constipation | |
Cory_Di *Ultimate Fish Guru* Posts: 7953 Kudos: 2917 Votes: 25 Registered: 19-Dec-2002 | - I have a strange betta. Ruben has a tendency to hold in his poopies until he looks like he's 9 months prego. He only goes every few days. When I would go to do a water change, he would poop in the brand new water . Then, I noticed that if I put a mirror in front of him if he hasn't pooped, it automatically prompts one the moment he flares. So I do this before water changes now and during the week. Has anyone else noticed this about mirrors or other ob I feed him and my other betta Hikari Betta BioGold, which has some magnesium sulfate in it to help them go. The other betta poops daily, but this one, he needs his exercise. Last edited by Cory_Di at 31-Jan-2005 21:16 |

I have 4 2.5 gal AGA's right next to each other, with cardboard dividers in between the tanks so that they are not exposed to each 24-7. It's a really cool setup, I think. But a couple of times every week I take the dividers to let them get some "exercise". But I honestly can'y say I noticed any of them pooping during that time??? *****hands Cori Di a pooper scooper***** |

Do you think he would let the nugget out when he was in the tiny betta hex waiting for the tank to be cleaned? No!! I didn't think he needed the mirror tonite because he just gave me a nugget . Always use the mirror before water changes, Di. ]:| *grabs pooper scooper* - Oooo, got it out. :88) Last edited by Cory_Di at 02-Feb-2005 21:29 |

I put the mirror in front of him every 2-3 days. Maybe I should do it daily I must say that he is one of the most aggressive bettas I've ever seen. He gets more worked up than anything you could imagine. I'm worried he'll jump right out of the tank (and bump his head on the lid). He's definitely a fighter. |
