Just got some today..LFS has had it setup in a betta bowl but I hadn't tried it yet. What I like most about it is how much the bettas love it. Just got some clear for now..figured best to see the bettas with. May get some colored later when I get all my betta tanks set up.

I just put it in with 2 different male bettas when I first posted..
came home and one was underneath already but came out to see me.
I'll have to take a picture after eat.
The one at LFS is funny, because it's blue..so you can't see the female betta hiding in it hardly.

Ok..now I wish I'd had some colored as the clear doesn't show up so well..BUT maybe you can see what it is:

last one..doesn't show the gel..but got this pic at the same time so figured I'd post it.

Duff (the blue/yellow one above is Smurf)

WOW! those fish are LOVELY!

As for the gel, it looks remarkably like those 'rainsaver' crystals or the oil burner crystals, just underwater

Interesting concept... um... how do u clean it??

For animals, the entire universe has been neatly divided into things to (a) mate with, (b) eat, (c) run away from, and (d) rocks. - Terry Pratchett

It is similar to plant stuff.. as it says it can also be used for plants (non aquarium plants).
To clean it, it says to rinse..
LFS uses a brine shrimp net for his..to rinse if out...and puts it back. He said it seemed to lose some volume though..after each cleaning.

Just some mutt boys I got from LFS. I was actually not LOOKING for more bettas (been here before)..and as I was checking out, my LFS friend said OH you should see this blue/gold boys we got in..
So I looked..and called him * my friend * a name..and bought Smurf..
then went back the next day for Duff.
