I noticed this am in one end of the tank, connecting bubbles. If he is building a bubble nest should I just leave him to it; once its done do I pop the bubbles or leave it. Thanks.

You should leave the bubble nest, until you do a water change that is. The bubble nest just means he is happy and/or ready to breed. They work very hard to make those bubble nests by sucking in individual gulps of air which gets a mucous coating then he spits it back out. It is not hurting anything anyway. Leave him to it... gives him something to do!

I agree, leave the bubble nest where it is. Your little guy is a happy camper, and it is nice to be able to look at the tank, and see proof of his happiness!

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."
