I'm sure this question has been asked before but.

Can you have live growing Bamboo in with a betta?

I know you can have bamboo in your tank or bowl as long as some of the bamboo stalk is sticking out of the water

I haven't tried it, but I think I read in one thread a while ago that bamboo can really foul the water. Any one with more experience or knowledge able and willing to put their two cents worth?

make sure u have gravel in the tank with the bamboo b/c when it starts to grow alot of roots all over sometimes food gets stuck and fouls the water.

good luck with your bamboo and it is a good idea to cut the roots so your betta doesn't get tangled up.

I had "lucky bamboo" with my betta. Its actually part of the water lily family. The roots can get a bit out of control, so cut them when nessecery(sp?). Make sure it sticks out of the water a bit. If you cut it, cut it right above the last segment line you want(if that makes any sence at all). If the top gets wet for prolonged periods it can get mushy and rot. Keep in mind its been years since ive kept this plant.

I'll do graffiti,
If you sing to me in French.
