They are both air breathers, and will not have enough surface area to establish their own territories. ___________________________________________ If at first you DO succeed, try not to look astonished. |

ILuvBettas Fingerling Posts: 36 Kudos: 24 Votes: 0 Registered: 24-Jun-2004 | My sister always kept albino corries, a yo-yo loach, a pleco, and platys with her red male betta. They did fine together ::Edit:: But this was in a much larger tank. A 29 or 30, I believe. [span class="edited"][Edited by iluvbettas 2004-07-28 19:13][/span] |

As for tank-mates for your betta, in with my bettas I've always had some type of bottom dweller. Currently, I have ottos and shrimp. |

royal cichlid Banned Posts: 39 Kudos: 84 Votes: 4 Registered: 02-Jul-2004 | MY buddy says not to try phantom tetras (or any other tetras) with a betta because their fins are long and will get ripped to shreds, P.S. my betta is quite aggresive yet gets along fine with my gouramis |
