Females may also show an ovipositor, which may be useful for sexing short finned or wild bettas." 1) What exactly is an "ovipositor"? With no other Betta's and no expierence with Betta's, how do I tell if I have a male or female? 2) With other fish you "float" the bag in your tank for a period of time to adjust the water tempature so as not to shock the fish....how do you "float" those little cups in a 2.5g tank? 3) In my 2.5g tank, I have a micro whisper filter, 1 plastic plant, and a very small ornament to hold down the air stone. Do I need a heater? 4) Would it be advisable to put 2 or 3 neon tetra's in here to brighten up the tank a little bit? |

IMO, i say leave him in there himself, they love the space, as far as tank mates for color or brigtening up the tank. if you find one with the right colors, it wont need it. look at my profile, i have many and their colors are awesome. and all of my males are in about 8g each all by themselfs and they love it. Fish tanks are an expensive addiction |
