	Betta doesn't display
Rauquie Small Fry Posts: 10 Votes: 0 Registered: 20-Mar-2004	Just got a new betta but it doesn't seem to be interested in diplaying for a picture... I placed it in the presence of other bettas and no luck...Any advice or do some bettas just don't do it??

seedkiros Mega Fish Posts: 974 Kudos: 270 Votes: 8 Registered: 07-Mar-2003	One of my bettas doesn't flare at another betta or its reflection either. Since you just got it, give it a few days to settle into its new fishy home and than maybe it'll feel more comfortable.

The betta has just gone through the stress of adjusting to new water parameters and possibly a temperature change. I got a new betta yesterday and he's very active and healthy but won't flare. They just need time to acclimatise.

They have to be reasonably healthy to flare, otherwise its not worth the effort to them.
