Is it possible to put 2 female bettas together in a 5 gallon? Or would they just constantly fight?

yes & no, it depends on the personality of the bettas, if you want to be safer you could get sisters.

If you like, you could probably put 3 in a 5g

well, if they are all sisters, you could fit 3 without too many scuffles, but from mixed spawns, be very careful.

I'd still say 3 to even out the pecking order a little, but start with two and see how you go.

i had 6 females in my 29 gallon, and 1 just died my newest girls were picking at her, and they do have littel fights, so if u have docile girls go with 3, but if not 1-2

I tried that exact thing once: 2 females in a 5 gallon. They would not leave each other alone! They both died...

I wouldn't risk it, as there's a big chance that they will fight.
