I bought Omega One Betta Medley flakes and he hates them. He was attracted to the smell, took one bite and promptly spat them all over the tank. It was one of those great moments where you realize that bettas don't need to talk -- they communicate just fine. It sounds like your betta is getting a great, comfortable home and a very conscientious caregiver! |

If you can't find it locally it's pretty easy to get online. They will eat flake although they can be picky and might not take it. If you're feeding flake I would supplement it with some fresh or frozen meaty food like bloodworms just to be sure they're getting their protein. The tank will be fine if left running empty for a week, don't worry about it. Also 24 degrees is perfect for a betta. |
