Hello i just saw a beutiful crownbetta over a friend house!!! NOW i whant one

But i whant to add him in to my 60 gal community tank, if i add him his tankmates will be Bolivian rams, pearl gourami, opaline gourami, golden angelfish, boesemani rainbow fish, neon tetra, clown pleco, cory, rainbow shark albino, amano shirmp, fan shirmp and some Neritina snail

It's a well planted tank with a lot of hiding place and good filtration one eheim canister professional II 2026 and 2 AquaClear 70. It's been setup for about for 7 month now all fishes are doing well and getting along just fine

My guess is that there may be a potential problem with the other gourami's that are in the tank, and the betta could see them as competition, and or the other way around, and you could lose some fish. Yeah bettas are peaceful, but they have that "dark" side to them. If you do decide to go along with it, keep a watchful eye, for any signs of damage from fights. HTH

72 gallon bowfront:Tanganyikan Lake set up
75 gallon: A. Baenschi trio,Cyanotilapia Afra Cobwe(4), copadichromis trewavase, protomelas sp. tangerine tiger(breeding pair)

Bettas are "fighting fish" and may not get along with everything. Also, you may want to rethink the neons as when the Angel gets to be alittle biggger he may devoure him....

The only thing is, you are generally warned against keeping betta with other labrynth fish. There may be an aggression problem in the tank.

the problem isnt weither or not the betta wil be the issue, its going to be that the other fish may have a problem with the betta, only way to know is to try it, i have bettas in all my comunity tanks ever sence i started fishkeeping, even when i had tiger barbs, never had anythinig super nippy before either though, but it still plan fish i put in my tanks around bettas, i have a male betta that grew up in a comunity tank, now he is over 2inches long and most likly going to be a butterfly

but like i said, only way to know is to try it, if there is a problem, then just set up a sperate tank for the betta

hth
