And these fish are the hardiest little critters. regards, achilles UK Betta seller - www.bramsbettas.com |

sham Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3369 Kudos: 2782 Votes: 98 Registered: 21-Apr-2004 | I wouldn't add white clouds. They are like most tetras and prefer company which means you need somewhere around 6 fish. Also they are fairly active and really wouldn't be that happy in a 3g. Bettas and other labyrinth fish commonly pick on shrimp or even eat them so you can try it but it depends on the betta. A small applesnail is also possible but again some fish especially labyrinth fish like to nip off bits of the snails body till it dies. For the shrimp if it does work make sure to provide a hiding place for when it molts or it will be easy prey. A drop of marine iodine(clear not colored iodine for wounds) helps shrimp successfully molt and increases their survival rate quite a bit. For snails they need water with a ph over 7 or their shells will dissolve. |

And the marine iodine will it work on my hermit crabs for when they molt(there land crabs). 10gallon: 8neons 5gallon: 1betta 1oto 2platys |

They are called plastic needle work grids. i got them at a local hobby store, theyre are the easily cutable, they come in many colors, and since they have holes in them the allow water movement. and they only cost 40 to 50 cents (rather than $6 for a "real"divider). MONKEYS ARE COOL, BUT SEA-MONKEYS ARE BETTER. |
