I currently have a planted tank a bit smaller than a 2ft tank with 3 2cm albino bn and 5 2cm common bn. Just wondering if it would be ok to keep maybe a male betta. I did have a male betta in my 2ft community but unfortunaly passed away after living in there for 2 years.

I would love to breed some bettas in this current tank, but havent tried breeding them in a tank with other fish.

Regards
Mango

BN = what. i have no idea what this is??? n.e way if they are not aggressive catfish then it would be ok. as far as breeding, i would not suggest that u breed them in a community tank. a seperate tank is best for breeding.

I agree with Bettachris..a tank dedicated soley for breeding bettas and raising fry is what you would need. One in a 10g would be ok if the current isn't too strong.

BN = Bristle (or Bushy) Nose pleco.

It's a very peaceful pleco, in which most of the males grow a faceful of bristles. There are many different varieties, but *most* only grow to be 6" max.

I dont see why you couldn't keep a betta with one. They're very peacful algae eaters, and are great for smaller tanks, but I wouldn't keep them in anything smaller than a 20 long.

If you're looking for a small pleco, go with either clown or pit bull.

*shrugs*

I hope I answered the question.

And bettachris, make sure you know what fish we're talking about before you post. *giggles* It was okay in this scenario, but in the future it might not be so smart.
