OK, *I* didn't breed them, but they are so worth showing off to the world!

a lady in QLD (SN:NajRick)bred these beauties a while back.

Their siblings went over and competes in Aquarama but unfortunately didn't place as they were too young

Aren't they STUNNING??

Well, they are actually pretty spiffy (although mu photography leaves a bit to be desired i must say)

The top one, Suzie, is a SD female with 4-8 ray branching on her tail. This means every ray splits to form 2, then each of those splits to form 4 andif each of those split, you get 8. So the original ray ends up splitting into 8 instead of the normal 2-3, and all the splits are even, which is a big thing.

The bottom one, well, its a boy for starters
He is well-proportioned, and has quite a good tail spread.

Both fish come from a spawn that produced even-lobed DTs, 180* HMs (as if there was another sort *scoff*) and i think a few SDs and plakats.

they have very even colouring, minimal, if any, red wash, and great body shape. the fins are clear and the splits are even, and there is no excess anal fin on either.

Although the make is more PK than HMPK, considering the lines, hopefully his kiddies will be HMPK

So, i spose they are a little ordinary, but when you look for the little details, they are all there.

Very nice looking bettas. The color is very nice and their overall appearance and profile are very good.

I've been told they are "copper gold", but coppewr sounds so PLAIN the female especially shines like a black opal.
