Posts: 9662 Kudos: 5261 Registered: 16-Sep-2001 | Well, they are actually pretty spiffy (although mu photography leaves a bit to be desired i must say) The top one, Suzie, is a SD female with 4-8 ray branching on her tail. This means every ray splits to form 2, then each of those splits to form 4 andif each of those split, you get 8. So the original ray ends up splitting into 8 instead of the normal 2-3, and all the splits are even, which is a big thing. The bottom one, well, its a boy for starters He is well-proportioned, and has quite a good tail spread. Both fish come from a spawn that produced even-lobed DTs, 180* HMs (as if there was another sort *scoff*) and i think a few SDs and plakats. they have very even colouring, minimal, if any, red wash, and great body shape. the fins are clear and the splits are even, and there is no excess anal fin on either. Although the make is more PK than HMPK, considering the lines, hopefully his kiddies will be HMPK So, i spose they are a little ordinary, but when you look for the little details, they are all there. |
