Breeding Moonlight Gouramis | |
Beardude Big Fish Posts: 309 Kudos: 26 Votes: 2 Registered: 11-Mar-2001 | I bought an adult pair of Moonlights back in Sept and they have worked out great. Such intelligent fish. The male has coloured up nicely dispalying red on his eyes, feelers and underbelly. They reside in a planted 180L community. Lately the male has been showing breeding behavour. He keeps grabbing plant leaves and taking them to the back corner of the aquarium and setting up a nest. Unfortunately the filter current and a few annoying platies keep thwarting his efforts. My question is, how hard would it be to get them to breed? Would I have to move them to a seperate tank? Has anyone had success breeding Moonlights? Any advice would be much appreciated |
