	Bubble Nest
Shitizizing Small Fry Posts: 6 Kudos: 2 Votes: 0 Registered: 24-Jul-2005	My Betta, which i've had for about 7-8 months already is finally producing a good-sized bubble nest. I'm tempted to get him a female to breed, but I currently have him in a 1/2 gallon tank and only have one other 5 gallon tank with a balloon molly in it. If i had the space, i'd consider breeding but i don't know what i'd do with so manyh other bettas lingering around Will the betta continually keep building his bubble nest until he mates? If i don't get a female, should i just not even worry about the nest and just ignore it?

In the past when I've bred betta's we've had upwards of over 100 babies and I've read where people have had close to 600 babies. You don't really have to worry about him building a nest it's just part of his nature, it also gives him something to do. Breeding betta's is quite a process you don't want to do it unless you are prepared to devote a lot of time and care to it.
