	Dwarf Gourami annoying cories?
SamanthaStorm Enthusiast Posts: 190 Kudos: 190 Votes: 51 Registered: 11-Nov-2004	Hey guys, So in the past few days, my gwarf gourami has been harassing my cories. Everytime it gets near one, he will swim real fast towards it and kind of run it out. Is this normal, and what can i do about it? Sam

This isn't unheard of, as even the usually-peaceful dwarf gouramis can become aggressive. If it is a territory thing, then try moving the tank's decorations and plants around. This will force the gourami to establish a new territory, and the fish may not mind the cories this time around. I'm guessing that you added the gourami to the tank before your cories? And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

tomsouthall Enthusiast Posts: 286 Kudos: 470 Votes: 13 Registered: 18-Jan-2004	great advice from sirbooks, in my experience dwarf gourami's are not as peaceful as many books say. They can become very terrotorial and larger ones will bully smaller ones (although this is the same for most gouramis), watch carefully and make sure it doesn't inflict damage on other fish. Moving the decor around is certainly the best solution.
