i dont know what it is, my femal dwarf is swimming around the bottom with her mouth touching the the floor. She is vertical in the water why could this be? My dwarf have been trying to breed could this be the reason, i am going to do a water change tomorrow to see if that helps. My male does not seem to be affected does any one have any idea what is wrong with her

This souunds like a swim bladder infection. I'm afraid that I don't know the answer to this. I suggest posting on the hospital forum. I'll bow down to the knowledge of someone more experienced, but I don't think breeding is the cause. Unfortunately, I don't think a water change will save your DG (althouhg I hope for the best).

Practical FishKeeping magazine has an article about a genetic propensity towards a disease, that is within 1 in 4 Dwarf Gourami's, perhaps you're suffering from that.

Sorry to not be much help, but I hope I've given a few ideas to what it could be and maybe somebody else can help. I've lost a couple of DG's unexpectedly in my time, I hope someone can help.
