What can I do to encourage spawning? Any suggestions would be appreciated ~~~~~~~~~~~~ There is water at the bottom of the ocean |

They reach adulthood by 3 inches of size. It would be best to give the pair a separate tank if its in a community tank. A 20g would suffice. Good protein rich diet, warmer temperature, plant cover (especially some plants at the surface to assist the male building a bubble nest) and some say, lower water levels would do. Surface aggitation should be minimum to allow the nest stay intact. The water level in my tank was around 12 inches with dense plantation. Plants served a second vital purpose of providing hiding places for the female. |
