Female betta and dwarf gourami | |
Two Tanks Big Fish Posts: 449 Kudos: 328 Votes: 13 Registered: 02-Jun-2003 | Right now she is pretty small. I rescued her two weeks ago, so cold that she could barely swim and a drab gray. She has really improved and is finally starting to darken up and show some coloration. My blue dwarf gourami is pretty passive and has not bothered her, but I am concerned about what will happen as she gets bigger. It is only a ten gallon tank with some small tetras -- and a bit over crowded, but the PH, ammonia, nitrate levels are all good to go. I had to take the gourami out of my 29 gallon, as the danios were to active for him and stressing him out, bit off one of his feelers. That is why he is now in the ten gallon, but he is very happy now. If it would be better for the betta, I will move her to a place of her own -- have several other bettas in two gallon bowls. This is my first gourami, and I could not find any other threads on the subject. I time, I would really like to replace this ten gallon tank with a twenty gallon (will still fit on my stand). I want to do what is best for all the fish involved. Thanks in advance for your advice. |
