I have heard in the past how gouramis will eat fry, i dont know if this is true but in desperate need of fry control in my guppie tank. i like my gupies but am growing not to. i dont have much space avalaible(obviously)but would a sparkling gouramy cure me?

i dont know about those gouramis since i never had one, but with 99% of fish out there, if it can fit in their mouth, it is food.

They will probablyu eat the fry right as they are being born

I dunno, sparkling gouramis have small mouths. I somewhat doubt if they could fit guppy fry in those tiny chompers.

You might have to look for a different fish. What size tank do you have, and how many guppies and fry are in there? Maybe there is something else that will fit.

Sparkling gouramis enjoy some meat in their diet. I forget how how big their mouths are, but I'm sure they would at least chase after fry in hopes of devouring them.
