Gourami tank size | |

At the moment she has a 15 gallon tank and will also be setting up a 12 gallon tank when she comes back from school. The 15 gallon has a couple danios, male guppies and two mollies. The 12 gallon (same surface area as a 10 gallon) will be home to a bunch of ADF's. Not sure which one she wants to put a gourami in (probably both if she has any say about it!), but I was wondering what species you thought would be the proper fit for each tank. I'm assuming a dwarf gourami would be the best fit for the 12 (she's not big into the pygmy/sparkling gouramis), but what about the 15? It has the same surface area as a 20 gallon. She loves blue (three-spot) gouramis, but I'm thinking that would be too big for her tanks. Am I right? ~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~ |

Either dwarf, licorice, or honey gouramis would work in both of those tanks, because of their small size and peaceful nature. |

Too bad she doesn't particularly care for like, paradise fish or sparkling gouramis... I think I've actually seen those in our LFS. Thanks for the info! ~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~ |
