HELP! Moving bubble nest | |
tdub Small Fry Posts: 11 Kudos: 22 Votes: 4 Registered: 07-Sep-2004 | This might belong in the breeding/labyrinth forum, but i have a fertilized bubblenest (Pearl Gourami)in my community 48gal tank. I have 2 2' tanks empty (with sponge filters), whats my best option; to move the male gourami (for a few days) and the bubble nest, if so how? or to remove the other fish from the 4' community so that the pearl doesnt attack them as he is now. I think the former is the better option how would i do this properly and are the eggs and nest really sensitive to changes in temp and water conditions? I found th nest this morning (about 15mins ago) so any help would be appreciated. Thanks |

In that, the eggs *should* hatch and become freeswimming without a problem and without the male. You can move it or just leave it in the main tank, as the tray should stop the other fish eating it. If the nest starts to pop, stick some bubblewrap over the top of it bubble side down. |
