HELP! Overeating betta!! | |
bettan Fingerling Posts: 20 Votes: 5 Registered: 09-Feb-2005 | What can I do?? I just tried to feed my new ADFs some frozen bloodworms, and my betta ate them all... He looks like a baloon... How dangerous is this. (He still can go up for air though...) How can I solve this problem with feeding the ADFs? (I kind of think one is dead.... How can I make the other one eat?) Hope somebody can help me, this is my first ADFs.... |

If it doesn't, chances are your Betta may have constipation - but don't worry if it does, it could be worse. Anyway, I think to get your other fish to eat, just remove the Betta. This is best if you want the other fish to live. Anyway, if you do have a spare tank, move him into that. If not, maybe you could give them sinking foods like carnivour/herbivour sinking tablets/pellets. But if this doesn't work, please move him. Good luck! Jay Hopper |

But I have never seen such a FAT betta And BTW, it´s african dwarf frog I have with him, not other fishies... But I will post that question somewhere else... Thank you anyway |

As for the betta, try melting the cube in a bag of tank water before putting it in. When you do put the food in, spread it out. The food should sink to the bottom, so the ADFs will eat it. If not, try brine shrimp intead of worms. When feeding, it is important to use sinking food. That way the betta doesn't overeat and the frogs don't undereat. Good luck - DJ :88) |
