Well my favorite little guy is gone. I found him yesterday morning. He was one of my first Bettas. Stanley was a cranky ol man who would have been 6 years old next month :#(

Wow, almost six??? That's the longest-lived betta I have ever heard of. Sorry to hear that it died.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

Six years, WOW. What a testament to you. They say avg lifespan is just three. So sorry for your loss. Just picked up me first betta this morning. I was lookin for a brilliant blue guy just like yours but the ones at my lfs didn't look too good so I got a bluish/reddish/translucentkinda thing. He's simply gorgeous and doing very well.

So sorry for your loss, but 6 years for a Betta, it's quite a long life.
