Ok, I just put a supposidly female dwarf gourami in my tank with my male dwarf, I can't tell if they are fighting or what. They are circling eachother REALLY closely, and kinda pecking at one another lightly, but not nipping. HELP!
This is at work, and I'm suppose to be leaving work right now.

"Supposedly" female? Females are pretty easy to identify, being much duller in color than males.

Male gouramis will often 'battle' each other, but usually no injuries occur. Keep a close eye on them, and see if any fins or scales are missing. If so, the fish should be separated. Otherwise, just check on them routinely, and make sure that they are not hurt. I think that they will be okay together, though.

And when he gets to Heaven, to Saint Peter he will tell: "One more Marine reporting, Sir! I've served my time in Hell."

Yes she is silver and very dull in colour, her belly is also a bit rounder then the males. So I'm assuming she is female from pictures and descriptions I have seen.

I'm leaving work in a little bit I really hope she is going to be ok. If it does not work out I will return her to the store as I do not have another space for her .

A male & a female Dwarf Gourami should be fine. Yes, the female is Silver in colour & the male is much more colourful. It's very easy to identify them. Just give them some time & hopefully they'll be fine together. :88):88):88)
