	How do bettas sleep?!?

T/A Mega Fish Posts: 942 Kudos: 1796 Registered: 20-Feb-2004	Good question. From my experience, Bettas(probably all fish) just take short naps. When they need air, they go get it. I see my Betta resting in the plants quite often, but never for more than a few minutes at a time.

A lot of mine sleep on the bottom, some in amongst the rocks, some balancing on their fins. fishyhelper288 Fish Guru Posts: 2161 Kudos: 1951 Votes: 137 Registered: 29-Feb-2004	mine sleeps with his head stuffed between 2 rocks or between a rock and plant, at night he sleeps on his fav plant leaf, i named him twitch (for obvious reasons) he is pink and red and now a breeder i so happy (oh yea he is my newest member of 6)

It's a total shame that my betta has a better workout routine than I do..lol. What is up with that anyways? They seem to tire themselves out for rest of the day, because they do more moving around when I get up than the they do for rest of the day. Maybe they're just happy to see I'm not dead...LOL. I've caught mine sleeping. They usual prop themselves on a plant near the surface. It's adorable.
