Just curious. I used to tend to overfeed..but now with plenty of bottom feeders..and Pearl Gouramies who'd just assume eat of the bottom..I'm not having probs with the one in my 125 gal (she gets frozen omnivore/bloodworms/brine shrimp, flake, betta food, sinking omnivore tablets). But for my bettas in 1 g tanks and quaranting 2 cup/cups..how much is good? I feed them mostly Hikari Betta gold since it floats ..but they usually eat 8 in less than a min..I feed them 2x or 3x a day. Then they get Liquid brine shrimp and bloodworms..although not ever day. And a flake every now and then.

I would say that as long as your fish are eating all the food in a minute that you are doing fine and not overfeeding. And 8 pellets per fish per feeding is a decent amount, I only feed mine about 4 but as long as your fish are eating them all in a minute that should be no problem. Hope this helps.

2-3 pellets twice a day is good.

Much less than a minute really.. like in 30 seconds max. I just don't see 2-3 as enough..to keep them alive maybe..but for larger bettas I dont know...

Keep in mind, fish's stomaches are usually about the size of their eye. Also bettas can go for very long periods without food as they can almost hibernate... Well they can shut down most of their actions and just swim to the surface for air.

I feed my female bettas 3 pellets each 2X a day..sometimes once or 3 times...but usually twice...

I feed my male betta about 4-5 pellets once a day.

They all are doing fine, are active, and are healthy
