i have a pair in the breeding tank.

vt butterfly X female cambodian(i think gaint gene and dt gene)

anyway, she was a ver agressive girl as i had her in QT and she was so bad i had to take her out. anyway she is in a bowl in the breeding tank, and the nest is built, and she is flaring back at the male. i had this happen many times b4, but again she is very aggressive, so is it worth the risk to let her go, or scrap the spawn incase she is a fin nipper.

If he is healthy and can take a few nips let them go. Just make sure to supervise them. After all you have to remove after mating anyway. Its like being a parent watching you child go off into the world. You cant baby them.

unless they are show fish, let her go for it. Body bites is the only reason I'd separate them.

For animals, the entire universe has been neatly divided into things to (a) mate with, (b) eat, (c) run away from, and (d) rocks. - Terry Pratchett
