Is my Dwarf Powder Blue Gourami happy? | |
fishygirl68 Hobbyist Posts: 97 Votes: 0 Registered: 07-Jul-2004 | He constantly swims back & forth, back and forth, frantically, along the front of the 27 gallon tank he's in, which he shares with 4 neons. I have around 9 plants in there, a cave-type rock formation, and one bunch of floating plants in there. Am I not meeting his requirments? Or is this normal behaviour. He mkes me anxious! He looks like he is very unhappy...I thought gouramis were usually very peaceful fish. Would he be happier with another species of gourami in with him? |

It's kinda too late to get another dwarf male because this one was in there first and they would probably fight more often than not. It's better to add them at the same time so they're both new to the tank. You might try it if you removed him for a few days and them added both or more again at the same time. |
