Is this a double-tail? | |
Nick Fish Addict 33 Posts: 553 Kudos: 668 Votes: 509 Registered: 09-Aug-2004 | I am quite a simple Betta keeper and tend not to get any other type than Veiltails found at my LFS. However, I try to get the really pretty ones when they first get their shipment. Over the months i've gotten a not very nice black CT, but we still love him. Other than him all the others are your basic LFS type veiltails. But as of recently one of our guys (BTW all 8 are doing great!)fins are just getting beautiful and his tail seems to have a nice split down the middle. Now i know it's not a cut in his fins. I was just wondering if this is a legit DT or do I have a half breed like my wanna be CT? Jessnick attached this image: |

Although it's possible looking at his fairly wide dorsal that he's carrying DT, it's not a gene that pops up at ten months, and in recessive fish the tail isn't at all different, only the dorsal. -Molly Visit shelldwellers.com! |

Plus there is nothing in the tank that could rip his fins or tankmates for that matter. oh well i'll keep wishing for a CT or DT*****sigh***** Last edited by Jessnick at 29-Nov-2004 16:24 |

Correct me if im wrong, but doesnt a DT begin at birth and begins at the ba http://www.bettatalk.com/images/Holy_grail_DT_male_1.gif "Nirvana II, the best DT opaque produced to date (notice the perfect DT lobes)" I'll do graffiti, If you sing to me in French. |

Sorry dude, but its a mighty fine VT! that colour is LOVELY! |
