I was recently given a nice little fish bowl- perhaps 1g in size, maybe slightly less, and I have seen a nice little 7watt clip on light, which would be able to give me a nice opportunity to grow a bonsai plant of some neat type and, and I was thinking of getting a Female Betta to stock it. Sort of like say, cultivated plant off center to one side, eco-complete substrate, and a pretty little blue female betta if I can find one, or maybe a MG if at all possible. Temp would probably be maintained at around 21 celcius or higher.
Would this work out?

If it is an incandescent light, probably not. IME even the smallest of incandescent lights on a 1 gal container causes the temp to fluctuate too much. This as you know can cause stress.

You could go get a lil fluorescent light (about 18 inches long) from the hardware store. They normally are very cheap, they cost around 7-9 US dollars.

Just find him a nice spot and mount the light over him.

Yeah thats what I meant guys LOL.
I guess I just sorta assume everyone knows I mean compact flourescents. LOL sorry.
No I dont use incandescent bulbs. The fixture I speak of has a 7watt compact flourescent double tube.
