Just a quick question regarding future betta home | |
So_Very_Sneaky Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3238 Kudos: 2272 Votes: 201 Registered: 10-Mar-2004 | I was recently given a nice little fish bowl- perhaps 1g in size, maybe slightly less, and I have seen a nice little 7watt clip on light, which would be able to give me a nice opportunity to grow a bonsai plant of some neat type and, and I was thinking of getting a Female Betta to stock it. Sort of like say, cultivated plant off center to one side, eco-complete substrate, and a pretty little blue female betta if I can find one, or maybe a MG if at all possible. Temp would probably be maintained at around 21 celcius or higher. Would this work out? Come Play Yahtzee With Me! http://games.atari.com Http://www.myleague.com/yahtgames |

IME even the smallest of incandescent lights on a 1 gal container causes the temp to fluctuate too much. This as you know can cause stress. You could go get a lil fluorescent light (about 18 inches long) from the hardware store. They normally are very cheap, they cost around 7-9 US dollars. Just find him a nice spot and mount the light over him. |
