Callatya       Moderator The girl's got crabs! Posts: 9662 Kudos: 5261 Registered: 16-Sep-2001    | Are there any other keepers here that use ketapang/IAL on a regular basis or for injuries/illness? How have you found it? Do your fish respond favourably? It seems to be very popular amongst betta keepers, but I know that some gourami keepers are getting in on the action too, so I thought I'd ask  (this is sold in some countries as Atison Betta Spa, but this product has additional salt etc and is not straight IAL extract) |

They are supposed to soothe the fish and encourage breeding when the leaves release the tannins in th water. Although, I must say that I had bred succesfully bettas without the use of IAL. |
