I cannot take my old tank with me, a 20 gallon secondhand from a relative fish newbie. I plan to set up a new tank after I finish with the move, and I have a vague idea of what I want. I'll probably have between a 20 and 40 gallon, with a school of cories, hopefully 1-2 angelfish or other peaceful cichlid, and a labyrinth fish. The thing is, I can't decide on a type. I don't want a paradisefish, or a female betta, but otherwise I'm open to anything. I'm thinking *maybe* a male betta, or a colorful gourami. Any ideas? |

They have both added some nice touch to my community tank. But, as far as color goes the neon blue gourami is just awesome looking. There are also some other, more aggressive gouramis, that might fit in with your tank. I'm sure someone will reply with some more ideas..Good luck |

Obviously, the decision really depends on what size tank you get. There is a big difference between 20 and 40 gallons. I'd recommend a dwarf or pearl gourami. They wear masks of silk, porcelain, brass, and silver, So as not to mislead with their own, ordinary faces. |
