can't some catfish and goldfish be considered labyrinth fish beacuse they breathe air?

No, they aren't considered labyrinth fish. Labyrinth fish are called that because they have a labyrinth organ that can take oxygen from the air.

Here is one I found in my aquarium fish book, Green Catfish (Brochis Splendens)I'll keep looking and see if I can find any others. So I guess there is truth to that.

I also came across this one, I thought it was really cool. Plus, it also breathes atmospheric air.

Although if you look at both profiles, neither mention a labyrinth organ.
