The past few days, one of my betta boys had been acting out of character: lathargic, wasn't eating... I came home last night to find him dead. *sighs* I don't know what was wrong with him, as there didn't seem to be any other signs than what I've mentioned.

Vitae (the "Life" part of Life, Liberty, Justice and the Pursuit of happiness) is dead. Life is dead...... Justice died after a fish-out-of-water experience at the beginning of the month. I'm left with my eldest boy, Liberty, and the youngest, Pursuit.

My babies were doing so well and now within three weeks I've lost two of them... With all the other stuff going on in my life, it's getting a bit overwhelming.

So... here's my salute to Vitae... Vitae of the cloudy blue/white coloring with the touch of purple dawn light. Vitae, who jumped into the kitchen sink as his tank was being cleaned some months back and JUST missed going down the drain. Vitae, who was always the eager eater, earning him the nickname "shark" for the way he attacked his food. Vitae... Vitae, who always seemed the eldest, though he was bought half a year after Liberty.

My patriotic betta boys are being thinned out... *huddles protectively over Liberty and Pursuit*

Well look on the bright side, you still have Liberty and Pursuit.

He probally died of old age.
