I have just bought a male Betta to put in my showcase tank to keep my Zebra Plec company. The tank is shapped and has a mirrored back. Do you think it will stress the Betta out seeing his reflection? I hope not because his blue/purple colouring looks great near the Zebra Plec

Hi minigod welcome to the site.
While mirrors are used to help give a betta a work out by causing them to flare, it's generally not good for them to be around the mirror 24/7 as the reason they are flaring is that they're stressed. 24/7 stress is not a good thing .
Additionally I've found in the past that my bettas quickly learned to recognize both their own reflection and the betta on the pellets package. Once they learned that there was no more flaring.

Annoyingly there is nothing i can do about the mirror is it forms the back of the tank. I will keep an eye on him to see if he learns...I hope so because he looks good with the Zebra, otherwise I'll have to move him into my BIG lounge tank.

I agree with Babelfish, not good for a Betta. But maybe lining the back with some plants to reduce the amount of visible mirror would be an option? Good Luck!

I'm also just curious what size is the tank?

Plants are a good idea. Another trick is to let the algae grow over the mirror...it'll keep the the reflections down somewhat.
