Male Paradise Fish tankmates | |
TurboTurtle Hobbyist Posts: 101 Kudos: 12 Votes: 2 Registered: 09-Apr-2003 | I've had this male paradise fish for awhile now, he has lived with a school of danios as well as the school of albino cory cats he lives with now. He is a very curious fish and I have yet to see him show aggression towards his tankmates. But of course you never know, so I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation of what fish would go good in a 21g with the paradise fish and a small school of cory cats? |

I had mine with some slower moving tetras and the paradise removed their eyes. I had one that also removed the eyes of a few of my cories. He swam around just acting curious and looking at his tank. Then would swim by the other fish while looking interested in something on the other side of the tank before snapping around and grabbing at their eye. Don't let them fool you. Even when they aren't showing obvious agression like chasing and fin nipping they still rule the tank so add tankmates with care. I haven't managed to keep a male with other fish without injuries resulting. |

And like I said sham, you never know, which is why I am trying to find fish that would go best with the paradise's temperament. All my fish still have their eyes; my paradise is more interested in swimming up top and playing with floating plants. |
