Since I was doing a water change today, I thought I would give everyone an idea of what sort of a setup I keep my bettas in. I am going to be changing it all in another month or so, but for now, this is what it is...

I recently gave away 7 of my HMs, leaving me with just 12. I did this in preparation for the upcoming tank changes.

Each tank is 2.5 gallons. They each are heated with their own 25 watt heater. There is a modified hood light hanging from two hooks in the ceiling above them. Each tank contains 1 male and 1 female (male in the big side, female in the little side). There are 2 CTs, 3 Plakats, and the rest are HMs.

Stormy, that looks like a very nice set up. Do you filter the water, or just do water changes?

Constant water changes for now... that is why I am getting a whole new setup. I do like this setup, but it takes too much time to keep everyone clean and there is no way I am putting sponge filters in all of them. I will photograph my new setup for everyone when it is done... BIG plans!
