my betta is in a 2 gallon bowl(i know small house) and it has no light or anything just a normal lamp, do i have to leave it one for any specific time

If it is near a window he probably gets enough natural light, but since it sounds like a pretty simple set-up (which i am not saying is a bad thing) i would probably not worry too much. Just turn the light on and off when you do your other tanks.

For a Betta a Two Gallon isn't bad, especially considering that some people leave them in a "tank" the size of the cup they came in.

MONKEYS ARE COOL, BUT SEA-MONKEYS ARE BETTER.

Your Betta will be fine in a 2gal. bowl. Just switch the lamp on & off as you do a normal tank.

just make sure that if ur using a incandescent bulb, that it isnt heating up the tank too much. if it is u can move the bulb further away or get a flurescent bulb. although fluorescent might be too bright.

depending on the tem. you can laeve it on or off as long as you want.
