My first breeding project.............. | |
cookypuss01 Fingerling Posts: 45 Kudos: 39 Votes: 9 Registered: 21-May-2005 | I've decided that I want to start some kind of breeding project, because apart from two broods of mollies a couple of years back (which doesn't count because mollies are so prolific!!) , I've not been blessed with the splashing of tiny fins before... SO, I think I would like to breed Siamese fighters, because obviously they are beautiful fish , easily avaliable, and I want to see a bubblenest...! My questions are for now, just in regard to a good setup = What is a good size tank for such a project and what about water parameters? Does betta sp. really need as high a water temperature as I've heard they do? Do I just buy a male, female and stick em both in a tank and wait for the lovin to begin or do I buy several specimins and separate them with dividers? Thanks for any help! |
