Would it be okay to do a 100% water change every five days on my one gallon. Will this stress the betta. Thanks.

I don't like 100% changes, if it were me I would do a 50% change everyother day.

Big fan of 100% water changes, and IMO the ten seconds of stress caused by a daily change is a lot less than the stress of ammonia build-up followed by a sudden, significant change in water if you do it less frequently. Daily changes aren't necessary but I'm certainly not against 'em! (Just pre-empting anti-daily comments)

I do a 100% change on the 12 Betta tanks that we have every 7 days Most of them swim in the cup when I put it in their tank.

I agree with Rick, I do 100% water changes on 8-2.5 gal. tanks. I have had much better results as far as my Bettas colors and behavior are concerned. I don't think going in a cup for 5 minutes bothers them to much when they are right back into their own tanks. They seem to come up to the glass to say "thanks" afterwards.

I have my betta in a 2.5g. I do a 50% change every 2-3 days and then a 100% once a week.

He always blows a nice big bubble nest after he has his water changed....

I do 100% water changes every 5 days on the 1 gallons, but most of my bettas are in 2 gallons and they get 100% water changes every Sunday.

i do 100& water changes every 4-5 days cause 1 gallon of water spoils real easily from uneaten food etc.

I do 100% water changes with my 1 gallon 1 or 2 times a week, depending on what it looks like. With my first betta, I did 100% water changes, then I read that it wasn't good for them, so I started doing 50% water changes, but then he got fin rot and popeye and died, so I will only do 100% water changes.
