ClownyGirl Fish Addict Posts: 508 Kudos: 311 Votes: 5 Registered: 07-Oct-2004 | I just had one more question. I have a 79 gallon tank. LBH=4 X 1.5 X 21inches. I keep clown loaches and angels in the tank and I am thinking of getting me a male crown betta. Can I (I really, really want to) keep a female in the same tank? I have been told no before, but I just wanted to get a 2nd opinion. |

And while I've never had any mishaps with Bettas ordered online it might be due to several factors.... First of all, our mail at home arrives shortly before or shortly after my husband gets home from work --- which means a very short period of time when the delivered boxes are left to the elements - if at all..... With our colder weather setting in, my latest acquisitions have been delivered to my daughter in law at her place of employment (I work in a physicians' office which is currently located in our hospital - which means all the mail goes through the central processing center, and I'm not willing to risk a delayed delivery).... In the warmer months I just use priority mail, and in the colder times I go Express mail.... Hope this helps! To thine own self be true... |

agaius Hobbyist Posts: 56 Kudos: 33 Votes: 2 Registered: 29-Sep-2004 | That IS such a beautiful fish - It reminds me of a Sunset [Hint-Hint!]. I wish I could find Crown Tails locally; all I find are ragged red or blue veil tails. No offense, they are quite beautiful too, but I am always looking for something different (i.e. not blue nor red, and especially not with ripped tails). |

beachbabe13185 Hobbyist Posts: 61 Kudos: 65 Votes: 68 Registered: 21-Jun-2004 | My lfs here even stocks some female CT's from time to to time, but normally when i go he has a couple CT's and he had in two placket males that i passed up, even though they were beautiful. dreamweaver where abouts are you...i have never ordered fish for fear of death durning shipping, because i have odd hours that i am home due to my college classes. dreamweaver8891 Big Fish Posts: 320 Kudos: 533 Votes: 79 Registered: 25-Apr-2004 | LOVE THAT CROWNTAIL!!!! I have 3 male Crowntails and due to their appearance opted for the following names: Jester, Joker & Harley (short for Harlequin).... Kind of have a theme going --- but I'm currently running out of names.... and know that I have at least one more purchase in my future!!! Now I've never been lucky enough to find a Crowntail at Wal Mart or even the local lfs... but I have been fortunate to find them online (eBay & Colorado Crowntails) at fairly reasonable prices.... and I'm afraid they're just as addicting as the rest!!!! GOOD FIND!!!!! To thine own self be true... |
