Opaline's in a community? | |
rewd Big Fish Posts: 351 Votes: 0 Registered: 29-Aug-2003 | Are opaline gourami's safe to put in with small community fish? Looking to get one or two when i set up my 75g community. Going to be lots of tetras, possibly some of my current fancy guppies, and other various small fish. I know these get kind of large but they are soooooooo pretty. |

They are very nice looking, though. As for your question, opalines will not bother most other fish, and they are a good choice for a community tank. |

Some might be nice..I had a Lavender that was..some can be nasty. Although, my 3 Spot types usually just went after other gouramies.. And, they can get larger..6"+. A single one usually is Ok if no other gouramies are present.. it you do more than 1, it's better to try only one male per multiple females..then again I've had females battle so much they had to be separated (in a 6 ft tank) |
