Hi All, just got a new paradise gourami tonight
for my 10g tank to keep the guppy fry down.
Is there any way of telling whether it is male or female?
Here is an introductory pic, i will get a couple better ones when the fish settles in a bit.

You are right dude,
it does look a lot more like a female
She is quite small right now, only about an inch.

if you are talking about paradice fish(never heard of it being called paradice gouramie) the males have a longer dorsal fin, and longer fins like the tail. good luck, i 2 just got some paradice fish, a reverse trio.

update: yes, a reverse trio is males x 2 and female x 1.
where a trio s male x1 and female x2
